As of now, Son of Heaven has come from behind as it now winning the SFBooks Book of the Year poll with 18.8% of the votes. If you haven’t voted yet, go do it now and help it maintain its lead. I needn’t remind Chung Kuo fans that the more continued acclaim the series gets, the more likely we are to see more Chung Kuo content in the future (short stories, novellas, dare I say… a realization of a film/TV adaptation?). Go vote!

I don’t know how many people will read this, but I finally went ahead and switched my kindle to the U.K. to get “Daylight…” and switched back. I had to go one step further than Goonda, though. He wrote to put 1’s in all of the required fields except the postal code (N5 1BU) but I had to input “Islington” in the province field. It wouldn’t accept “1” for that. I’m just happy to finally get my copy on my U.S. kindle now, so thank you Goonda for the tip.
Son of Heaven is killing it right now! 57 votes, to 2nd place’s 37 votes!
Have been passing the word about the vote to my fellow readers.
I’d like to think that it’s been thanks, in part, to this blog, but who knows…
I know I wouldn’t have known about the vote without this blog, and I know I’ve personally voted twice (two computers), plus posted it to the Sci-fi thread on a soccer website I am active at.
You should definitely give yourself a pat on the back for this. You are playing a huge part.
Comment of the year. 🙂
